The Department of Food and Public Distribution (DFPD) , Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Government of India , invites applications for the post of Accounts and Statistical Officer via Deputation (including short-term contract). Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- The maximum age for appointment through deputation should not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a honored university/ institution.
Experience
- At least two years of experience in administration, establishment, or accounts work.
Service Requirement
The applicant should be an officer from one of the following:
- Central Government
- State Government
- Union Territories
- Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs)
- Universities
- Recognized Research Institutions
- Autonomous or Statutory Bodies
And must fulfill either of the following:
- The applicant must hold a regular post in the parent cadre/department that is analogous to the advertised position.
- The applicant must have six years of regular service in Level-5 (₹29,200-92,300) of the Pay Matrix or its equivalent.
Pay Scale
- The post is placed in Level-6 of the Pay Matrix (7th CPC).
- Pay Scale: Rs. 35,400 – Rs. 1,12,400 per month.
- Additional allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other applicable benefits will be provided as per government norms.
Selection Process
- The appointment will be made on deputation basis as per DoP&T guidelines.

- No examination or interview is conducted for this deputation post.
- Only eligible and nominated officers by their respective departments will be considered.
