Atal Bihari Vajpayee – Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM), Gwalior, an Institute of National Importance established by an Act of Parliament under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, invites applications for the positions of Institute Post Doctoral Fellows (IPDF) and Externally Funded Post Doctoral Fellows (EFPDF). Eligibility Criteria
A. Educational Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent doctorate degree (e.g., D.Sc.) from a recognized university/institute.
- A minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of at least 6.5 on a 10-point scale in both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees is required, with First Class standing in each.
- CGPA/Percentage relaxation as per Government of India (GOI) norms.
- Candidates who have submitted their PhD thesis may apply but must submit the PhD award certificate before joining.
B. Institutional Background
- Possession of at least one academic qualification (from graduation level onward) or professional experience (either in a regular pay scale or as a guest faculty) from:
- CFTIs (IISc, IITs, IIITs, NITs, IIMs, ISI, IISERs) or
- Foreign universities with QS World Ranking ≤ 500.
C. Age Limit
- Upper age limit is 35 years, calculated as on the closing date of the application submission.
- Must apply within five (5) years of PhD award (defense date).
- Exception: ABV-IIITM PhD holders must wait at least one (1) year after defense before applying.
D. Research Publications
- Minimum three (3) publications in SCI/SSCI/SCIE indexed Q1 journals (as per latest JCR).

Selection Process
A. Screening & Shortlisting
- Applications will be screened by a Screening Committee.
- Shortlisting based on: Academic qualifications, research experience, publications, and expertise.
- Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee that a candidate will be called for the interview.
B. Interview & Final Selection
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for a technical presentation and interview.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
- Overseas candidates may attend via online interviews.
- The ultimate selection will depend on how the candidate performs during the interview process.
