Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the APSC CCE 2025, candidates must meet the following eligibility conditions:
Nationality:
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
Age Limit :
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 38 years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years (up to 43 years)
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years (up to 41 years)
- PwBD: 10 years (up to 48 years)
- Ex-Servicemen: Maximum age limit of 50 years (Relaxation for SC/ST – 55 years, OBC – 53 years)
Educational Qualification:
- Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized university.
Language Requirement:
- Must be proficient in Assamese or any recognized tribal language of Assam.
Employment Registration:

Selection Process
The APSC CCE selection process consists of three stages:
Preliminary Examination (Prelims)
- Objective-type (MCQ)
- Two Papers:
- General Studies-I (200 Marks)
- General Studies-II (200 Marks) (Qualifying, requires 33% marks to pass)
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted per wrong answer
- Mode: Offline (OMR-based)
Main Examination (Mains)
- Total Papers: 6
- Each paper carries 250 marks
- Total Marks: 1500 (excluding Interview)
- Subjects include: Essay, General Studies (I-V), and Optional Subject
- Mode: Descriptive (Written Exam)
Personality Test / Interview
- Marks: 180
- Candidates who qualify for the Mains are invited for a personality test.
- The final selection is based on Mains + Interview marks.
