Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) is currently accepting applications from eligible male applicants for engagement as Security Guards on a contractual basis. The University is in search of committed and physically fit individuals with prior experience in the armed forces or central security services, who can uphold the safety and integrity of the campus environment.

Important Dates

  • The deadline for submitting the online application is 20th June 2025.

Application Fee

  • General/OBC category applicants: ₹900
  • SC/ST applicants: ₹185

All payments must be completed via online modes such as net banking, credit card, or debit card. Other forms of payment like cash, cheque, or demand draft will not be considered.

Vacancy

  • Total number of posts available: 15 positions (subject to adjustment as per University needs)

Eligibility

  • Educational Qualification: Minimum qualification of Seventh Standard (7th grade) or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least five years of service in any one of the following forces:
    • Indian Army (Military Service)
    • Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)
    • Border Security Force (BSF)
    • Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)
    • Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)
    • Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)
  • Physical Fitness: Candidates must have a good physique suitable for the duties of the post.
  • Age Limit: Candidates must be below 55 years of age as on 01.01.2025.
  • The reservation policies as per the Government of Kerala’s regulations shall be duly followed.

Salary

  • The post carries a consolidated monthly pay of ₹21,175.
  • The pay is fixed for the contract period without additional allowances.

Selection Process

  • Applicants will be screened considering their academic credentials, relevant work experience, and physical suitability.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with relevant military or paramilitary service.
  • The University may conduct interviews or physical tests if necessary.
  • The ultimate selection will be determined by merit, professional experience, and adherence to applicable reservation guidelines.
