The distribution of vacancies is subject to the availability of positions and the needs of HPCL.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age Limit: The maximum age for applicants is 25 years as of 30th April 2025.
- Relaxation in age limit is applicable for candidates belonging to certain categories:
- SC/ST candidates: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates: 3 years
- PwBD (General): 10 years
- PwBD (OBC): 13 years
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
- Domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir (between 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989): 5 years
- Ex-servicemen and Commissioned Officers: 5 years

- Educational Qualifications:
- Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Chemical: A 3-year full-time regular Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline.
- Fire & Safety: Any Science Graduate with a Diploma in Fire & Safety.
- Minimum Percentage:
- General/OBC/EWS: Minimum 60% marks
- SC/ST/PwBD: Minimum 50% marks
Selection Process:
The selection process includes the following stages:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT):
- General Aptitude: Includes English Language, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and Data Interpretation.
- Technical/Professional Knowledge: Questions will relate to the specific engineering discipline or qualifications of the candidate.
- Group Task/Discussion: Shortlisted candidates from the CBT will be invited to participate in this stage.
- Personal Interview: Candidates who qualify the Group Task/Discussion will be invited for a Personal Interview.
- Pre-Employment Medical Examination: All selected candidates must pass a medical examination to ensure fitness for the role.
- Physical Fitness Efficiency Test: This is a qualifying test for certain roles.

Salary and Benefits:
- Pay Scale: ₹30,000 – ₹1,20,000 per month
- CTC: Approximate Cost to Company (CTC) for candidates posted in metro cities is ₹10.58 Lakh annually (this may vary depending on the location).

Probation Period:
