The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Department of Food and Public Distribution, invites applications from eligible officials for filling up 05 (Five) vacant posts of Junior Accountant-cum-Storekeeper (JASK) on deputation (including short-term contract) basis. The appointed candidates will receive compensation as per Pay Matrix Level-5 (Rs. 29,200 – 92,300) and will be posted in various field offices under the Storage and Research Division.

Eligibility Criteria
A. Educational Qualification
- Essential: Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from a recognized university.
- Desirable: Two years of experience in cash management, accounts, or storekeeping in Central/State Government offices, Banks, or Public Sector Undertakings.
B. Age Limit
- The upper age limit is 56 years as of the application closing date.
C. Service Requirements
Applicants must be:
- Holding an analogous post (JASK or equivalent) on a regular basis, OR
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of continuous service at Level-4 (Pay Matrix: Rs. 25,500 – 81,100) or equivalent in their parent cadre.
D. Employment Status
- Only serving officials from Central/State Governments, Union Territories, Autonomous Bodies, PSUs, Statutory Organizations, Universities, or Semi-Government Organizations are eligible.
- Departmental officials in direct line of promotion are not eligible.
Salary and Benefits
- Pay Scale: Level-5 (Rs. 29,200 – 92,300) as per the 7th CPC.
- Deputation Allowance: As per DoPT’s OM No.2/29/91-Estt.(Pay-II) dated 05.01.1994.
- Option to Choose:
- Grade Pay + Deputation Allowance OR
- Pay fixation in Level-5 scale.
Selection Process
- Scrutiny of Applications: Only complete and eligible applications will be considered.
- Evaluation Based On:
- APARs (Annual Performance Assessment Reports) of the last 5 years.
- Vigilance Clearance and Integrity Certificate.
- Relevant experience and qualifications.
- Final Selection: Based on merit and suitability as per departmental requirements.

- Certified copies of Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APARs) for the last five years, with each page properly authenticated.
- Vigilance Clearance Certificate – Stating no pending/contemplated disciplinary cases.
- Statement of Penalties (if any) – Major/minor penalties imposed in the last 10 years.
