The institute is inviting eligible candidates for the posts of Doctor (General Physician) on a contractual basis and Pediatrician on an hourly basis. Eligibility Criteria
Doctor (General Physician)
- Essential Qualification:
MBBS degree or equivalent qualification recognized under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
Must hold active registration with either the State Medical Council or Indian Medical Register. - Age Limit:
Below 65 years.
Pediatrician
- Essential Qualification:
MBBS or equivalent medical qualification approved and recognized as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics (MD/DNB or equivalent).
Must hold current registration with either the State Medical Register or the Indian Medical Register. - Age Limit:
Below 65 years. - Note:
All medical qualifications must hold recognition from the Medical Council of India. Completion of a mandatory rotating externship is needed.

Pay Scale and Working Hours
Doctor (General Physician)
- Remuneration: ₹70,000 per month (inclusive of TA/DA or conveyance).
- Working Days: 6 visits per week.
- Working Hours: 8 hours per visit.
Pediatrician
- Remuneration: ₹2,500 per visit (3 hours per visit, inclusive of TA).
- Working Days: 5 visits per week.
- Working Hours: 3 hours per visit.
Selection Process
- Selection shall be conducted via walk-in interview process organized by NIT Hamirpur.
- Candidates will be assessed on the basis of:
- Educational background
- Experience in relevant medical fields
- Professional conduct and communication
- Selection of candidates will be finalized according to the interview committee’s assessment.
- Attendance at the interview will be at the candidate’s own expense; no travel or accommodation costs will be reimbursed.
