Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- Ph.D. in a relevant discipline from a recognized university is mandatory.
- First-class degree in all preceding academic qualifications (Bachelor’s & Master’s).
- If first-class is not explicitly mentioned, a minimum of 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale or 60% aggregate marks is required.
- Candidates who have completed a Ph.D. directly after B.Tech./B.E. are also eligible.
2. Experience Requirement
- Candidates must have relevant teaching/research/industrial experience from reputed institutions.
- Experience from institutions ranked under NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) will be considered.
- Part-time, visiting, guest faculty, or contract-based experience will not be counted.
3. Age Limit
- Maximum Age Limit: Fresh appointments beyond 60 years are discouraged.
- Exceptions may be made for candidates with outstanding research contributions and ongoing externally funded research projects.
Pay Scale & Benefits
Selected candidates will be appointed as per the 7th CPC (Central Pay Commission) guidelines. The pay scale details are as follows:
- Associate Professor: Level 13A2 (Rs. 139,600 – Rs. 211,300)
- Additional allowances and benefits as per NIT Jamshedpur norms.
