    • PG Diploma/Diploma/Bachelor in Archival Studies or Records Management (or equivalent), such as Archives Management, Public Records Management, Conservation, Reprography, Business Archives, and ICT.

Experience

  • Mandatory: Minimum 3 years of experience as an Archival Professional in Central/State Governments, Corporates, Industrial Houses, Banks, or Financial Institution Archives.
  • Desirable: Familiarity with computers, digitization, and editing of records.
  • Note: Training & Teaching experience will not be counted for eligibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scientific conservation and preservation of records, photographs, and paintings.
  • Fumigation and chemical treatment of records.
  • Preparation of reference media (indexes, catalogues) for archives.
  • Scanning, microfilming, and digitization of records.
  • Handling non-current permanent records with historical and legal value.
  • Providing research facilities to scholars and students.
  • Maintaining daily records of temperature and humidity in archives.
  • Ensuring security, housekeeping, and administration of archives.
  • Developing safe exhibit techniques and procedures for records management.
  • Preparing archives manuals in line with national and RBI archives.

Skills Required

  • Strong archival records management skills.
  • Knowledge of preservation and restoration techniques.
  • Ability to manage records efficiently, ensuring safe storage and retrieval.
  • Familiarity with digitization tools and software.

Selection Procedure

  • Shortlisting: Based on qualifications and experience.
  • Interview: Candidates will be shortlisted and called for an interview.
  • Merit List: Will be prepared based on interview scores. In case of a tie in marks, candidates will be ranked by age in descending order.

Payment of Fees

  • Registration and Payment: Candidates must register online through the SBI website and pay the application fee via internet banking, debit/credit card, etc.
  • Fee Structure:
    • General/EWS/OBC candidates: ₹750 (application fee + intimation charges).
    • SC/ST/PwBD candidates: No fee.
  • Payment Method: Payment can be made through debit card, credit card, or internet banking. Transaction charges, if any, are borne by the candidate.
  • Receipt: Upon successful payment, an e-receipt and application form will be generated, which should be printed and retained by the candidate.
  • Refund: The application fee is non-refundable.

Documents to be Uploaded

  • Photograph: A recent passport-style color photograph with specific size (20 kb – 50 kb, dimensions 200×230 pixels).
  • Signature: A scanned signature in black ink on white paper (10 kb – 20 kb, dimensions 140×60 pixels).
  • Additional Documents: These include a resume, ID proof, date of birth proof, caste certificate (if applicable), educational certificates, work experience certificates, and any other relevant documents in PDF format (not exceeding 500 kb).

Eligibility and Candidature

  • Eligibility: Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria specified for the post.
  • False Information: If false information is detected at any stage, the candidature will be canceled, even after appointment.
  • Medical Fitness: Appointment is subject to medical fitness as per the bank’s requirements.
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC): Candidates working in government or public sector organizations must submit an NOC at the time of the interview.

Important Instructions

  • Communication: Candidates must keep their email ID active for receiving communication. No hard copy of call letters will be sent.
  • Travel Expenses: Outstation candidates called for interviews may be reimbursed travel expenses (airfare for the shortest route, up to ₹10,000, subject to submission of tickets).
