University of Mumbai Apprenticeship Recruitment 2025 – Apply Now for Graduate & Diploma Posts

The University of Mumbai invites online applications from eligible Graduate and Diploma holders for One-Year Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992 (as amended). The training will be supervised by the Board of Apprenticeship Training – Western Region (BOAT-WR).

This is an excellent opportunity for freshers to gain hands-on experience in a respected academic institution.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

1. Finance & Accounts Assistant:
   • Graduate in Commerce from a recognized university
   • Preference: Tally, Typing, and MS-CIT certification
2. Lower Grade Stenographer:
   • Graduate in any stream
   • Preference: Stenography (English & Marathi) certificate
3. Jr. Engineer (Civil):
   • Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
4. Jr. Engineer (Electrical):
   • Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
5. Law Assistant:
   • Graduate in Law
   • Preference: Typing and MS-CIT certification
6. Lab Assistant:
   • Graduate in Science
   • Preference: Typing and MS-CIT certification
7. Library Assistant:
   • Graduate in Library Science
   • Preference: Typing and MS-CIT certification
8. Electrician:
   • Diploma in Electrical work
9. Carpenter:
   • Diploma in Carpentry
10. Plumber:
    • Diploma in Plumbing
11. Mason:
    • Diploma in Masonry
12. Driver:
    • Graduate in any stream with a valid driving license
13. Multi Task Operator:
    • Graduate in any discipline
    • Preference: Typing and MS-CIT certification

Age & Nationality

• The age limit for applicants will adhere to the regulations outlined in the Apprenticeship Rules.
• Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

Training Duration

• The apprenticeship program will last for one year, as per the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act, 1973.

Eligibility Restrictions for Work Experience

Applicants are not eligible to apply if they:

• Have already completed or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training elsewhere.
• Have more than one year of work experience.

Selection Process

• Applicants will be selected on the basis of their educational qualifications and achievements.
• Interview invitations will be extended exclusively to candidates who have been shortlisted.
• The final selection will be made based on merit and interview performance.
