RBI Grade B Officer Age Limit:
- Minimum age: 21 years
- Maximum age: 30 years
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and a maximum of 5 years for Ex-Servicemen & Ex-employees.
RBI Grade B Officer Salary:
Successful candidates will receive a starting basic pay of ₹55,200 per month, with a salary scale ranging from ₹55,200 to ₹99,750. The pay scale includes increments and adjustments as follows: ₹55,200-2,850(9)-₹80,850-EB-2,850(2)-₹86,550-3,300(4)-₹99,750, which spans a period of 16 years for Officers in Grade B.
Eligibility Criteria for RBI Grade B Officer:
Educational Qualifications:
- For General Stream: Candidates should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized university or institution. For SC/ST/PWD candidates, the minimum requirement is 50% marks.
- For Economic and Social Issues Stream: Candidates must have a master’s degree in economics, statistics, or a related field with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized university. For SC/ST/PWD candidates, the minimum requirement is 50% marks.
- For Finance and Accounts Stream: A master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized university is required. For SC/ST/PWD candidates, the minimum requirement is 50% marks.
Age Limit:
- The age of candidates should be between 21 and 30 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per government regulations:
- SC/ST: Up to 5 years
- OBC: Up to 3 years
- PWD: Up to 10 years (15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC)
- Ex-Servicemen: As per the service rules
Work Experience:
- Work experience is not mandatory for most streams, but having relevant experience can be beneficial.

RBI Grade B Officer Phase I Online Exam Overview:
In Phase I, candidates will take a single Objective Type Paper worth 200 marks, with a total duration of 120 minutes. They must meet the minimum score requirements for each section and overall, as specified by the Board. The Phase I Paper will cover the following tests:
